Alpha Lubrication
At Maritime Engineering we have gained extensive experience of the Alpha Lubrication system during more than 150 installations, repairs, upgrades and service on systems on MAN, Sulzer and Mitsubishi main engines.
Installations
We offer installations of the system either during docking or during normal service of the vessel. During normal service, our installation team will sail with the vessel to carry out the installation without any offhire for the vessel. We also install the system on Sulzer and Mitsubishi engines.
We arrive on the vessel with an efficient team of experienced engineers. We will send in advance a toolbox specially equipped for the installation.
Service
We have developed on-site testing equipment to service the Alpha Lubrication system.
Our testing equipment allows us to pinpoint and rectify any deficiencies in the system, and lubricators specifically, in order to ensure optimal performance of the lubricators.
Upgrade
Vessels operating in Super Slow Steaming mode with loads down to 10% will benefit from MAN’s new layout of the Alpha Lubricator.
This provides cylinder lubrication oil savings and more accurate feed rate control at all engine loads. It minimises over-lubrication at low load, reducing deposits; hence improving the cylinder condition.
